Bhansali tunes in to ‘peace’ with music

To release his first original music album Sukoon on streaming apps

Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has announced his first original music album, ‘Sukoon’ to be released on December 7 on all leading streaming apps.

Bhansali, who has composed music for his directorials such as Guzaarish, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Gangubai Kathiawadi, has said that he has created ‘Sukoon’ (meaning ‘peace’ in English) during the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdowns.

“Two years in the making amidst the difficult times of covid, I found peace, quiet, and love while creating ‘SUKOON’. I hope you find the same while listening,” quips the filmmaker.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the recipient of several awards, including four National Film Awards, ten Filmfare Awards and a BAFTA nomination. In 2015, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award.
