Assam Police’s dapper reply to scammers asking for OTP

These days police forces use unique ways to make the public aware and warn them about the outcome of not following the rules, one way to gather attention using trending songs and memes.

Recently, Assam Police decided to use Baba Sehgal to make the public aware of the scammers. Born Harjeet Singh Sehgal, widely known as Baba Sehgal, he is one of India’s first rappers known for his appealing jingles and rhymes.

In a fresh public service announcement (PSA), Sehgal is heard beatboxing as an answer when someone asks for the one-time password (OTP). “Scammers ko kardo tum confuse; OTP share karne se kar do refuse,” Assam police wrote with a hashtag #ThinkBeforeYouShare tagging Baba Sehgal.
